Welcome Back! In-Person Appointments Starting July 14th!

Welcome Back! In-Person Appointments Starting July 14th!

Wow! What a year it has been! First of all, thank you for your patience and your patronage! This past year has posed a new set of challenges for us, but we have come out on the other side thanks to your cooperation and partnership. We have welcomed many new members into our VCMC family and our practice has grown significantly. Our second facility in Florham Park can’t come soon enough, as we are bursting at the seams in our East Hanover location!

We are excited to announce that starting on Wednesday, July 14th, we will be welcoming clients back inside for most appointments. We are so excited to see all of our old friends as well as get to meet all of our new friends for the first time!

In order to maintain everyone’s health and safety, as well as accommodate all our beloved patients, we will be reopening with the following restrictions:

  • One pet parent will be able to accompany their pet(s) inside for the appointment*. Masks will be required while in the building. If you have young children that will be coming to the appointment, please call the front desk for accommodations.

    • *Exceptions are made for euthanasia appointments, in which case up to three family members may be present with their pet.

  • Due to our significantly increased caseload during the pandemic (or as we call it, “pet-demic!”), we will still have one doctor per day seeing ONLY curbside appointments. This will allow us to continue to see all of our cases within the confines of our current space restrictions.

  • Upon arriving for all appointments, please remain in your car and call the front desk to check in. A veterinary assistant will come out to your car and either escort you directly into an exam room for in person appointments or bring your pet inside for curbside appointments.

  • After the doctor has examined your pet(s), we ask that you wait in the waiting area (or in your car, if you prefer) while any injections/treatments/procedures are being performed. This will allow us to clean the exam rooms appropriately before the next appointment.

  • All appointments scheduled for our technicians will remain curbside under our current protocol. This may include, but is not limited to: pedicures, ear cleanings, laser therapy appointments, blood work appointments, tick removals, etc.

  • Medication/food pick-up and sample drop-offs will remain curbside. When you arrive, please call from your car for assistance.

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we take this first step in transitioning back to normal operation!

Sincerely,

Dr. Megan Edelle

and the VCMC Team
