Education: Cornell University
Dr. Edelle grew up in a suburb of New York City. She graduated from Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude in 2000. She went on to complete her degree in Veterinary Medicine at Cornell in 2004. Her initial interest was working with horses. She did an internship at Mid Atlantic Equine Medical Center straight out of vet school, and went on to work there until she decided to transition to small animals in 2009. In April of 2018, she was elected to the Executive Board of the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Ben, two sons Braden and Reece, and daughter Evie Leigh. She also enjoys horseback-riding, hiking, and relaxing at home with her pets: two miniature Mexican hairless dogs, Pearl and Jellybean, her mixed breed, Risley, her three cats, Moo Moo, Mika, and Neo, and a large fish tank.

Dr. Pribula grew up in East Hanover and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She continued at Penn for veterinary school and graduated with her veterinary degree in 2015. Dr. Pribula joined the team at Veterinary Center of Morris County shortly after graduation. She has a special interest in training rescue dogs and working with service animals. During her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband, Ted, and their daughter, Claire. She also enjoys going for runs with their pit bull, Rosie, and lounging with their pug, Opie.
Education: St. George's University
Dr. Cozzarelli was born and raised in Belleville, NJ; where at a young age, she promised her childhood pets that she would become a veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2012 with a bachelor degree in Animal Science. She then went on to veterinary school at St. George’s University in Grenada and completed her clinical year at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in January 2017. Dr. Cozzarelli’s special interests include traveling. She has traveled to South Africa on three separate occasions working with various wildlife rehabilitation centers tending to lions, elephants, rhinos, wildebeest, impala, and kudu. She has also become very passionate at trying to diminish the high poaching rate of rhinos. During her free time, Dr. Cozzarelli enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as her cats Alan, Earl, Timmy, and Nea and her two chickens, Gumbo and Chickpea.
Education: Tuskagee University
Dr. Mattaur grew up in Paterson, NJ and graduated from Penn State University Park in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. After graduation, she continued on to Tuskegee University for veterinary school where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014. She did a small animal, rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists that was completed in 2015. She proceeded to pursue a surgical focus by training at Long Island Veterinary Specialists in 2016 and New York Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in 2017. Her special interest is soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. When she has a spare moment between spending time with her husband, Nate and running after her small twins Kaylah and Cameron, she enjoys relaxing with her cat named MJ, and exercising with her basenji, Anubis. Dr. Mattaur also enjoys music, ballroom dancing, and cuisine.
Education: University of Glasgow
Dr. McComas graduated from the College of St. Elizabeth with a B.S. in Biology. She then attended the University of Glasgow in Scotland where she earned her B.V.M.S. and is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. McComas is a lifelong resident of New Jersey. With a strong interest in pain management, Dr. McComas offers Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine as adjunctive therapy to Western Medicine. She and her husband, Tim, welcomed their daughter, Aisling, in 2014. Their cats Fig and Newton help to make their house a home. Her hobbies include baking, music, being outside, and Isshinryu karate, in which she has a third-degree black belt.
Scott Mirenda is our Chief Veterinary Technician, Practice Manager, and Ultrasonographer. He graduated with honors from the Ultrasound Diagnostic School of NJ in 2002. Scott honed his skills working as a Mobile Ultrasonographer following graduation. He has over 20 years experience and is highly skilled in venipuncture, radiology, assisting in surgery, and of course, ultrasonography. Scott resides in Landing, NJ, living on beautiful Lake Hopatcong. On his days off, he enjoys cruising around the lake on his boat.
Becky completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Animal Sciences Department of Delaware Valley College in 2002. She has 8 1/2 years of experience working at an emergency referral hospital as the Chief of Marketing, Extern Coordinator, and Client Care Specialist before joining us in 2013. In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses and training in agility with her deaf Australian Shepherd, Noodles.
Lisa joined VCMC in 2013 as a Client Care Specialist. She graduated from Kean University in 2015 with a BS in Business Management. In her free time, she enjoys reading, volunteering, and spending time with her wife, Christine, their cats Missy, Squish, and Henry and their pup Tucker, a Catahoula mix.
Erin has been with the Vet Center since 2004. She is our 'Jane of all trades', most of you have seen her working in reception, kennel, and as a veterinary assistant! Most recently, she was promoted to Kennel Manager. In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband, twin daughters, and son.
Elyse was born and raised here in East Hanover. She started working at VCMC in 2004 as a Kennel Attendant. Through the years, Elyse has worked her way up the ranks and is now one of our valued technicians. She specializes in therapeutic laser therapy, venipuncture and radiology. When not at the VCMC, Elyse enjoys photography and going to the beach with her dogs, Lily and Kailee.
Hannah’s life-long love of animals inspired her to earn an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology from Bergen Community College. In 2011, she became a Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of NJ and a member of the New Jersey Veterinary Technician Association (NJVTA). Hannah most recently found her niche at VCMC, where she continues to live out her passion for helping animals. In her spare time she enjoys baking, cooking, gardening, and relaxing at home with her husband, Aidan, their two daughters, and their adopted cats, Oswald and Brie.
Tay joined our practice as a Veterinary Technician in 2017. She graduated from Stockton University in 2010 with a degree in biology. She is interested in canine physical rehabilitation and would like to specialize in that field one day. In her spare time, she likes to read, run, and spend time with her dog Caleb and her turtle Franklin.
Kasara started her career at VCMC as an Animal Care Specialist in 2015. She attended the Veterinary Technician Program at Bergen Community College, where she graduated in 2017 and quickly accepted a Veterinary Technician position here with us! She has 2 pets, a Rat Terrier mix named Butterscotch and a pit bull mix named Chance. In her free time she enjoys working out, reading and being outside.
Danielle joined VCMC in 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant. She is currently studying online at Penn Foster to become a Veterinary Technician. Outside of work, she enjoys photography, hiking, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with family, friends, and her many pets. She has five cats named Crystal, Ursula, Jasmine, Harley, and Peanut, and three dogs named Roxy, Namath, and Peppi.
Erin graduated with a Bachelor’s in Zoology from The Ohio State University. She joined the VCMC team in 2017. She specializes in surgery prep and monitoring anesthesia. In her free time, she loves reading, gardening, and spending time with her three cats: Armin, Carter, and June Bug.
Kayla has been active in animal welfare from an early age. She volunteers with her local rescues as well as being active with sanctuaries in Puerto Rico. Kayla is currently enrolled in Penn Foster to become a Veterinary Technician. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, hiking, and camping. At home she cares for her five cats, Deco, Sheba, Milo, Dodger, and Sammy, as well as her three pitbulls, Mama Hugs, Ella, and Cappy.
Gloria started at VCMC in 2018 as a Client Care Specialist. She graduated Montclair State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication in 2008. When she is not helping our clients at the VCMC, she enjoys traveling, running and spending time with her husband and two cats, Bubba and Patrick.
Rachel started working at VCMC in 2018. She attended Kean University for Graphic Design but decided to start a new career path at VCMC. In her free time, she enjoys bird watching, reading, and swimming. On her days off, she enjoys spending time with her two birds TC & Hedwig and her two dogs Lucky and Rascal.
Melissa, better known as Mel, started at VCMC in 2018. She brings over 25 years experience in the animal field to her role as a Client Relation Specialist. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs Lilly, Maxwell and Sedona and watching her friendly, backyard squirrels, Bug and Buddha, frolic and play.
Meghan has been a part of the VCMC team since 2016, starting out in reception before moving to kennel. She will be attending The University of Massachusetts Amherst in the fall of 2019 for Animal Science on a pre-vet track. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, playing volleyball, and spending time with Olive, her Toy Dachshund.
Janice has been grooming for more then 20 years. She attended the Nash Academy of Animal Arts in 1986. She specializes in scissor trimming and minimal stress handling. She prides herself on being able to evaluate the specific needs of your pet in order to make the experience as positive as possible. She takes into account age and any disabilities when handling your pet, and will do everything possible to keep your pet comfortable during their time with her.
Diane has been grooming for over thirty years. Her favorite dogs to groom are Westies and Yorkies, and she also grooms cats. Her hobbies are hiking, gardening, and walking her Jack Russell, Kailee, and Terrier mix, Peggie. She lives in Roxbury with her husband, daughter,and their dog and three cats.
