Education: Cornell University
Dr. Edelle grew up in a suburb of New York City. She graduated from Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude in 2000. She went on to complete her degree in Veterinary Medicine at Cornell in 2004. Her initial interest was working with horses. She did an internship at Mid Atlantic Equine Medical Center straight out of vet school, and went on to work there until she decided to transition to small animals in 2009. In April of 2018, she was elected to the Executive Board of the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Ben, two sons Braden and Reece, and daughter Evie Leigh. She also enjoys horseback-riding, hiking, and relaxing at home with her pets: Pearl, a Mexican Hairless, two mixed breeds Risley and Finn, two cats: Mika and Neo, hedgehog Dottie, tortoise Tortellini, and a large fish tank.
Education: St. George's University
Dr. Cozzarelli was born and raised in Belleville, NJ; where at a young age, she promised her childhood pets that she would become a veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2012 with a bachelor degree in Animal Science. She then went on to veterinary school at St. George’s University in Grenada and completed her clinical year at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in January 2017. Dr. Cozzarelli’s special interests include traveling. She has traveled to South Africa on three separate occasions working with various wildlife rehabilitation centers tending to lions, elephants, rhinos, wildebeest, impala, and kudu. She has also become very passionate at trying to diminish the high poaching rate of rhinos. During her free time, Dr. Cozzarelli enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her fiancé Dan as well as her cats Alan, Earl, and Nea.
Education: St. George’s University
Dr. Passione grew up in Hackettstown, NJ and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology in 2016 from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She then went on to veterinary school at St. George’s University in Grenada and completed her clinical training at Cornell University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. George's University in 2021. You may recognize Dr. Passione, as she worked at VCMC as an assistant prior to attending vet school. She is so excited to return to VCMC in this new capacity. Dr. Passione's special interests include dermatology and emergency medicine. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her cat Tipsy.
Education: University of Minnesota
Dr. Rolchigo grew up in Warren, NJ and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences from the University of Delaware in 2018. She then went on to complete veterinary school at the University of Minnesota in 2022. Dr. Rolchigo’s special interests include ophthalmology and nutrition. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, her boyfriend Evan, and their two dogs, Mojo and Cashew. She also loves to read, watch movies and explore new restaurants!
Education: Ross University
Dr. Stine was born and raised in Hunterdon County, NJ where she developed a love for animals at a young age. She graduated from Drew University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Business Studies. Dr. Stine went on to veterinary school at Ross University on the Island of St. Kitts and completed her clinical year at Colorado State University, graduating in May 2023. Dr. Stine’s special interests include soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her fiancé Tom, her dog Koi, and two cats Ruth and Chicken. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, going on hikes and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. DeTrolio was born and raised in East Hanover, NJ. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Ecology and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. DeTrolio went on to study veterinary medicine at Ross University on the Island of St. Kitts and completed his clinical year at the University of Illinois, graduating in September 2023. Dr. DeTrolio’s special interests include preventative medicine and neurology. In his free time he enjoys spending time outside fishing, going on hikes with his dog Romano (like the cheese), cooking, landscaping and hardscaping, aquaponics, maintaining his planted aquarium, and playing the piano.
Scott is the General Practice Manager and Ultrasonographer. He graduated with honors from the Ultrasound Diagnostic School of NJ in 2002. Scott honed his skills working as a Mobile Ultrasonographer following graduation. He has over 20 years experience and is highly skilled in venipuncture, radiology, assisting in surgery, and of course, ultrasonography. Scott resides in Landing, NJ, living on beautiful Lake Hopatcong. On his days off, he enjoys cruising around the lake on his boat.
Meg graduated with a Bachelor's in Animal Science from UC Davis. She specializes in venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and laser therapy. When not at VCMC, Meg enjoys gardening, metal working, and hiking with her dogs Whiskey and Theodore.
Lisa joined VCMC in 2013 as a Client Care Specialist. She graduated from Kean University in 2015 with a BS in Business Management. In her time off, she fosters kittens for a rescue and enjoys spending time with her cats Henry, Marvel, Groot, PercyLyn, and Buddy and her foster dog, Twiggy.
Elyse was born and raised here in East Hanover. She started working at VCMC in 2004 as a Kennel Attendant. Through the years, Elyse has worked her way up the ranks and is now one of our valued technicians. She specializes in therapeutic laser therapy, venipuncture and radiology. When not at the VCMC, Elyse enjoys photography, the beach, and hanging out with her two dogs: Gunner and Lexie.
Kayla has been active in animal welfare from an early age. She volunteers with her local animal rescues as well as wildlife rehabilitation centers. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, hiking, and camping. At home she cares for her four cats, Deco, Sheba, Milo, and Sammy, as well as her two pitbulls, Mama Hugs and Ella.
Carrie started at VCMC in the fall of 2020 as a Veterinary Technician. She is a 2010 graduate from the University of Vermont with degrees in both English and Pre-Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys surfing, drawing and some good reality TV. Carrie loves to spend time with her cat named Merril.
Brittany joined VCMC as a Veterinary Technician in December 2020 and brings 6 years experience with her. She has her Associate's degree in General Biology from County College of Morris and a Bachelor's degree in Animal Physiology and Behavior from William Paterson University. She loves to cook and bake with her boyfriend, Vinny, and watch horror movies year-round. Brittany has a dog named Shiloh and 3 cats named Kiara, Snickers and Jynx.
Cindy joined our team in 2020. She has been in the field for the past 6 years, starting as a volunteer and learning to be a technician. Cindy is pursuing her Bachelor of Science at Ruger's University, studying Biology. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, drawing and painting as well as spending time with her 7 year-old Yorkshire Terrier, Azula.
Haley joined the VCMC team as a Veterinary Technician in February 2021. She has been in the animal field for four years. She is a graduate of West Virginia Welseyan College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In her free time she enjoys reading, running and snuggling with her pets. She has three cats, Smudge, Lucy and Pancake and three guinea pigs Chunky Mam, Natty and Jinx.
Kaitlin started her animal career working with exotics which developed into a passion. She currently rescues and rehabs everything from snakes to ferrets in her personal time. She is also currently a student attending CCM, and is always trying to extend her education and passion for all things animals!
Erin has been with the Vet Center since 2004. She is our 'Jane of all trades', most of you have seen her working in reception, kennel, and as a veterinary assistant! In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, and two dogs.
Annie is one of our most long standing employees, starting at VCMC in 2002. She specializes in compassionate client care and giving individualized attention to our clients. Annie enjoys gardening and dance parties with her children. Her fur babies include Tanya, Mr. Miyagi and Penny, and she also has a turtle named Mr. Turtle.
Christine is a life-long resident of East Hanover. She graduated from Hanover Park High School. She has three grown children and six grandchildren. She loves all animals and enjoys helping and caring for them. In her free time, she loves relaxing at home with her grandchildren and her cats.
Janice has been grooming for more then 20 years. She attended the Nash Academy of Animal Arts in 1986. She specializes in scissor trimming and minimal stress handling. She prides herself on being able to evaluate the specific needs of your pet in order to make the experience as positive as possible. She takes into account age and any disabilities when handling your pet, and will do everything possible to keep your pet comfortable during their time with her.
Diane has been grooming for over thirty years. Her favorite dogs to groom are Westies and Yorkies, and she also grooms cats. Her hobbies are hiking, gardening, and walking her Jack Russell, Kailee, and Terrier mix, Peggie. She lives in Roxbury with her husband, daughter,and their dog and three cats.
