Thanks for visiting the Grooming Shop.  My name is Janice Schamble, and I have been grooming for more then 20 years now.  I attended the Nash Academy of Animal Arts in 1986.  I specialize in scissor trimming and minimal stress handling.  I try to evaluate the specific needs of your pet and try to make the experience as positive as possible.  I take into account age and any disabilities when handling your pet, and will do everything possible to keep your pet comfortable during their time with me.

 Frequently Asked Questions

 1) What are your hours?  I am available Monday through Friday, from 9:30 AM until 5:30 PM.  Early drop offs are available. 

 2) What time can I come in?  My typical appointment times are 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 1:30 PM, with flexibility in between if needed.

 3) How long does my dog need to stay?  I usually ask that your dog stay for four hours, but I will call you if I get your pet done sooner.  Dogs here past four hours are taken on a bathroom walk.

 4) What is included in my dog's grooming?  Your dog will be thoroughly brushed and combed out.  After their brush out, the specific needs of your pet's coat and skin will be assessed, and the appropriate shampoo will be used.  I also provide a re-moisturizing coat conditioner.  Medicated shampoos, flea and skunk treatments will be charged an additional $10 fee.  Nails are cut and filed, and ears are cleaned.  Cologne and a bow or bandana are available upon request at no additional charge:)

 5) Is my pet caged while in your care?  For your pet's own safety, they are provided with ample housing while here at the Grooming Shop. 

 6) Do you use cage dryers?  Yes.  The cage dryers we use have built in timers and heat controls, so they are never left running too long and your pets comfort and safety is assured.

 7) Why should I use The Grooming Shop? I am a groomer with over 20 years of experience located in the safety of a veterinary hospital.  You can schedule vaccinations on the same day as your grooming so convenience is yet another benefit!
